The Neurophysiology Technician Assistant is a staff position responsible for providing basic technical nursing skills as well as essential patient care in the Neurophysiology Dept., under the direction and supervision of an RN. The Technician works in close collaboration with assigned practitioner to provide safe and quality care, is a valued member of the Neurophysiology Dept. and functions under the direction of the RN. The Technician is not an independent practitioner and requires delegation of functions and oversight of assigned tasks by RN. Competencies should be assessed by the RN before assigning tasks. When in doubt, no task should be performed unless the Technician is competent and has been signed off on said task. Responsibilities will also include assisting the RN with daily secretarial tasks and data entry. The position requires average computer proficiency in Microsoft applications and various technical skills to effectively schedule patient, maintain Dept. data log. They will be solely responsible to schedule all Video EEGs/Ambulatory EEGS and bring all pertinent paper work to Bed control, Outpatient Admitting Department and to the nursing units. Estimated pay range for this position is $15.00 - $19.50 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications:


High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance or GED.  Certified Nursing Assistant, BLS.  Minimum of 2 years experience as an Acute Care Technician, Medical Assistant, Clinical Partner. Minimum Required Experience: 2
